Where value works
Value wedges can be the sensible choice for simple square-face shots and predictable loft gaps. Fresh grooves in the right loft can outperform an old premium wedge that no longer spins.
The fit question
Choose bounce by turf and delivery. Steeper players and soft ground often need more bounce; shallow players on firm turf usually need a cleaner sole interaction.
